![]() I know that, personally, I’ve wished I could go back in time and warn people about the Sept. At some level, we’ve probably all had the fantasy about it. The idea that someone could go back in time to prevent a crime or tragedy is intriguing. The scene is tense because with one eye, Carlin is looking at an image of the killer’s vehicle from four days prior with the other, he’s watching – and trying to dodge - present traffic.Īll the twists and turns hooked me as well. (A special mobile device lets him see where the guy was.) Now there’s something I never thought I’d see. One of the best scenes has Carlin chasing the killer’s car, even though it’s four days in the past. I’m a sucker for time-travel movies, and Déjà Vu does some really unique things with the premise. After seeing his partner, Larry Minuti (Matt Craven), murdered by the bomber, Carlin demands to be sent back a few days in order to save Claire and, possibly, the innocent people killed on the ferry. When confronted, Pryzwarra acknowledges that time travel is possible and that Claire is still alive in the past. Eventually, it becomes clear to Carlin that the government has underplayed their new toy. It was her stolen car that housed the explosives, so he figures that if they watch her, they can see who her abductor was and then nab him. He suggests focusing in on the home of Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton), a young woman whose dead body washed up on shore around the same time as the bombing. Pryzwarra wants Carlin to look at the footage of the dock as it streams in to see if he can locate the bomber. Everything takes place in real time, only it is seen four days and six hours later. The program works like streaming video on the internet: it comes in a flow, with no option to rewind or fast-forward. When combined, you get (essentially) a movie of the past where you can switch angles, zoom in on various elements, and hear intimate conversations. A technician named Denny (Adam Goldberg) runs a new computer program that composites images obtained from satellite and heat-ray cameras. At a special government office, an agent named Pryzwarra (Val Kilmer) informs him that there is a special lead in the case. Denzel Washington plays ATF agent Doug Carlin, who is brought in to help investigate a New Orleans ferry bombing that has left 500 innocent people dead. This idea applies perfectly to Déjà Vu, which has to be one of the most far-fetched thrillers ever committed to celluloid. There’s an old saying about how you will forgive a movie anything so long as it works on you.

What makes HPR’s load more accurate than the others with the TAC-TX bullet? The most likely answer is that this ammo simply performed better through our test barrel. A different barrel could have showed completely different results. Loaded with the Barnes TAC-TX bullet, this load was the most accurate out of all 17 other types of ammo in this test. ![]() Based on our testing, HPR completed their objective. HPR Ammunition designed this ammunition for hunters to achieve consistent sub-MOA accuracy. Gemtech advertises this load to be effective for helicopter hog hunting, which is certainly possible with its average velocity of 2,212 fps through a 10.5-inch barrel. Their supersonic variety is loaded with Barnes’ TAC-TX bullet on factory-new Blackout brass, not re-sized 5.56 cases. Gemtech, widely known for their lineup of quality sound suppressors, is now producing supersonic and subsonic. This results in full expansion out to 300 yards when fired through even short barrels. The 110-grain polymer-tipped copper bullet is precisely seated into factory-new Remington brass at an overall length of 2.25 inches for reliable feeding with standard AR mags. Four razor-sharp petals are purposely designed to peel back at a lower-velocity expansion threshold near 1,400 feet-per-second (fps). Loaded with their all-copper TAC-TX bullet, Barnes has designed what is, in my opinion, the best all-around commercially available. As a result, this line about Arche also changed very slightly too: Incidentally, the Japanese script underwent rewrites for later ports of Tales of Phantasia. CR and DDR mainly differ in the method of image acquisition.ĬR uses a detector, or image plate (IP), for image acquisition, an IP reader, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a computer and software programs to process the digital image. Instead, images may be adjusted and displayed on computer monitors. Both systems use conventional x-ray equipment (e.g., machine, table, grids), but eliminate the need for film, processing chemicals, and light boxes. 7, 14ĭigital radiography imaging systems include two basic types, computed radiography (CR) and direct digital radiography (DDR). 16 Using conventional analog techniques, standard portable radiographic units with 80 to100 kVp and 15 mA have produced reliable, diagnostic elephant foot radiographs. Intensifying screens in the form of film cassettes are used to convert x-rays to visible light to expose the film, because the film emulsion is more sensitive to light. X-rays are more likely to precipitate these crystals, which will cause a greater area of exposure than with a slower speed film, resulting in less image detail with high-speed films. High-speed films have crystals that are larger or more numerous. Film speed corresponds to the size or amount of silver halide crystals. The amount of precipitation is directly related to processed film blackness. After exposure to x-rays or light, the silver halide crystals precipitate and remain on the film during processing. 7, 8, 14 Recent advances in diagnostic medical imaging include the use of digital radiography (DR) for the clinical assessment of foot pathology in the captive elephant.Ĭonventional radiography produces images using film coated with a light-sensitive, silver halide–containing emulsion. To date, elephant foot radiography reports have focused on conventional analog radiography (AR) techniques. 9, 17 Annual examination of captive elephants are recommended by the North American Species Survival Plan (SSP), including foot radiography in elephants with chronic foot disease. 2, 5, 12, 13 Chronic foot disease that is unresponsive to medical and/or surgical management ultimately results in euthanasia. 4, 6, 10 Common foot problems encountered at the nail, skin, sole, or pad include penetrating injuries, trauma, cracks in the sole, nail, or cuticle, overgrown nail, sole, or cuticle, laminitis, ingrown nails, pododermatitis, osteomyelitis, arthritis, fractures, dislocations, abscesses, and degenerative joint disease.
